Roundtable “Good Environmental Governance Goals and Objectives in the context of the Luxembourg Declaration Implementation” was held in Kyiv, Ukraine
On October 18, 2017, in order to mark the first anniversary of the adoption of the Declaration of Ministers of the EU Member States and Eastern Partnership Countries on Cooperation on Environment and Climate Change, UNENGO MAMA-86 in partnership with the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources held a round table “Good Environmental Governance Goals and Objectives in the context of the Luxembourg Declaration Implementation”, with the support of the Project “Advancing Belarus, Moldova and Ukraine for the European Environmental Governance Reforms” funded under the EaP CSF Re-granting Scheme.
Conference “How to achieve good environmental governance in Ukraine?”
A conference called “How to achieve good environmental governance in Ukraine?” was held in Kyiv on November 1–2, 2016. Participating in the conference were representatives of the EU Delegation to Ukraine, SIDA, assorted experts, as well as representatives of Ukrainian central and local bodies of government, NGOs and the media. The event was organized by the Ukrainian National Environmental Non-Governmental Organization MAMA-86 together with the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of Ukraine.

On 9 June 2016, the side-event “Environmental Policies, Programmes and Plans to implement SDGs in Eastern Partnership countries: from commitments to achieving targets” was held as a part of official programme of the “Environment for Europe” 8th Ministerial Conference (Batumi, Georgia).
National roundtable on public awareness of nuclear and radiation safety held in Kyiv
On April 19, 2016 on the eve of the 30th anniversary of Chornobyl disaster Ukrainian National Environmental Non-Governmental Organization “МАМА-86” together with the State Inspectorate for Nuclear Regulation of Ukraine with support of Sida held the National round table on Public Awareness of Nuclear and Radiation Safety.
World Water Day 2018
Already 25 years on March 22, the world celebrates the International Water Day initiated by the UN General Assembly what was declared in resolution № А/RES/47/193 "World Day for Water". The purpose of this day is to carry on infoactions to attract the attention of society to the problems of water resources, the need for their protection, sustainable use and provision of drinking water of appropriate quality.
The National Water Policy Dialogue
The National Water Policy Dialogue in Ukraine was held on November 28, 2017 in Kyiv and it was of great importance for the stakeholders. 92 representatives of different national authorities — ministries, agencies and services, as well as different stakeholders — academia, water experts, operators and NGOs took part in the dialogue.
The current state of drinking water quality, access to water and sanitation, problems of water and health were discussed by participants of the forum "AQUA-Ukraine 2017"
On November 7, 2017, an extended meeting of the Interdepartmental Working Group (IWG) on coordination of the implementation of the Protocol about Water and Health (hereinafter referred to as the Protocol) was held. The Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources (MoE) of Ukraine is leading the work of the IWG. The extended meeting was facilitated by Oleksandr Bon — National Focal point on the Protocol from the MoE, and Iryna Rudenko — National Focal Point on the Protocol from the Ministry of Health.
